Memorial Day has passed, and it is heating up here in Sacramento, with temperatures over 100º these next 3 days.
I am taking a break from wildlife; all these images are scenics.
In 2013 I moved to within ¼ mile of the American River in Sacramento, CA. These images represent 7 years of photography. All of the images were taken on a 1.5 mile stretch of the river, “my stretch of the river.” There is probably a 50/50 split between images taken on land, or from my kayak (with a few drone aerials thrown in). 90% of the images were taken within an hour of sunrise. The last seven images were taken with my iPhone!
I have posted both of next year’s eagle trips, Skagit River, Washington in January and Homer, Alaska in March on my website. Hopefully it will be safe to travel by then!
For those of you looking for some photographic instruction you can do from home, I have posted the next session on my online class, which starts in June on the website too.
You can find all the classes and tours here.
Here is the slide show, I hope you enjoy my river as much as I do!
